I can’t believe this costume actually happened. I cannot believe from like practically a year ago when I first watch Den-O and Decade that I actually made this costume. And with a goddamn brilliant photographer behind the lens… FFFFFFF. It didn’t even matter than only like 3 people recognized me because I am so goddamn PROUD of myself for putting as much effort into this costume as I did, even if no one can tell.
Stef, I must thank you immensely for photographing me. Not only are you a wonderful photographer with a great eye for crisp photos, but you are a lovely person to be friends with and I enjoyed our outside-of-photoshoots time as well.

KATSUCON I MISS YOUUUUUU!
Damn girl. Check out these arms for R-Natsumi! So many friggin beaded bracelets. I had to make nearly everything that’s on my left arm. And I still need a few more?? A lilac/white beaded bracelet and I need one of those poofball scrunchie things? One of those big brown fur ones.
Tomorrow I start work on the jumpsuit. And I better finish it too (minus adding the buttons/beads/etc. I just want the basic structure done). I can’t believe Katsucon is sneaking up on me so fast.
Hopefully tomorrow I will have some great progress photos!
EDIT - Hahaha, I just realized on the right side of the photo you can see some of the other stuff I have amassed for R-Natsumi on my lamp: bendy pink flower, velcro monkeys, crown for the leg of the jumpsuit, bunny ear headband for the backpack, and her hat. Yeah, you can’t make it all out but it’s there, I promise.
Got my hat in for R-Natsumi the other day. I may have to stuff it to give it a bit more body, as you can see it lays pretty flatly on my head. I imagine it’ll look a bit less durp when it’s actually paired with the buns and curls and the rest.
I also got in one of the monkeys that hang down from her arm (I may have mentioned that though already?). Only about a million more stupid things to buy for this costume :DDDDD …oh man too many things.
Ryuutaros!Natsumi slowly coming together. The flower is a bit bigger than the one she has, but for serious. I found a bunch of these guys in red, but for some reason pink is not as favored in the bendy plush flower world.
I also got in one of the monkeys that hang on her arm, and the pink hat she wears arrived at my boyfriend’s house tonight. The more of these little pieces I get, the more and more excited I get.
Ryuutaros!Natsumi cosplay progress!!
The clips have been dyed for some time now, but I only just gathered the motivation to sew them onto clips. I also recently ordered the bun from Arda Wigs during their recent sale. So hair is all ready to go.
Spent most of the night cutting and decorating the shoes. My god they are so obnoxious. Ryuutaros, you are pretty damned obnoxious. I’m still missing the double set of pink laces, as well as the stuffed animals. The laces I know where to get them, the little plush I need to search out and procure.
Hoping next weekend to get the patterns for the jumpsuit drawn out and maybe fabric cut? I know I need to get moving on this since, if I’m doing my Triple-H cosplay group, I’ll need the remainder of February to work on it. Not to mention that I hope some of my time in the next two months will be occupied with apartment hunting and possibly even the process of moving.
SO yeah Kamen Rider cosplay. Fuck yeah. Please excuse my hideous non-makeup’d gross face.
I just want to talk about Kamen Rider all the time. Not enough of my friends watch these series. It boggles the mind. I will somehow figure out how to gently rope people into this series with me. I’m about to start watching Kiva next month. SOMEONE SHOULD ALSO WATCH IT AND THEN WE CAN TALK ABOUT IT TOGETHER.
I’m just getting really excited to bounce around Katsucon as Ryutaros!Natsumi and wear purple curls in my hair and get my HENSHIN on.
